Breathe and reboot.
I’ve joked and commented numerous times on the fact my memory is garbage. Sometimes I’m convinced there are just too many stories, too many experiences to possibly contain all of them in the server of my mind. Other times I wonder if it is a subconscious self-protection defensive strategy.
Yesterday as I stared out the airplane window, thinking about landing in Atlanta and seeing...

Hands of time.
I came home for Christmas. Technically it isn’t home though. My parents moved out of where I grew-up about five years ago to begin their retirement. Their new residence is 30 minutes away from the overcrowded, suburban city where I grew up til leaving for college and never looked back. In the beginning, the metaphorical separation hurt my heart. My Mother even made me take all of the...

Love letters.
Like any warm-blooded, hopeful romantic female…I love a Love Letter.
But little did I realize that my “Mr. Big” was writing ones for me the majority of our time apart this final break[up]. Yep. Similar to how John James Preston’s character did in the first Sex & the City movie…emailing excerpts from poems of war heros to the ladies they loved.

A new day.
December 14: It has been a pivotal day on my calendar for the last eight years. It was the day my story officially began with Mr. Big.
I took him as my date to my holiday party for work, which at the time was for a TV news station. The festive event was held at a Botanical Gardens venue. It was extraordinarily cold that evening, but the glowing backdrop of Christmas lights that lined the...

Sweet dreams.
I’m not sure what I love more ~ giving or receiving.
OK, that’s a lie. I LOVE to give gifts. If I could get paid for gifting a.k.a. consult as a for-hire Personal Shopper, my life would be complete.
OK, that’s a lie too. But I really, really love it & consider the thoughtful, personalized process a skill set.
Mr. Big recently asked what I’d like for Christmas. I...

First dates.
Despite the fact that I’ve been a long-term, serial monogamist since 6th grade, I’ve still gone on a respectable amount of first dates. Special thanks to the infamously immature and totally normal “breaks” that transpired throughout these relationships ~ which coincidentally continued into my twenties.
It was during those breaks, that lasted anywhere from one week to one...
